Jim Mack Taylor III, born on September 3, 1971, in Cochran, Georgia, to the late Jim Mack Taylor Sr. and Doris Busby, passed away on March 5, 2026. He grew up attending Berean Baptist Church and school before earning his GED. Jim worked for MGF until its closing, later at Rockford Heat Treat, and upon returning to Georgia in 2011, he served as a manager at Subway.

He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan who loved following his team, played darts for Allied Games, and cherished time spent with friends. Above all, Jim was known for his engaging personality, his deep love for family, and the many lasting friendships he formed throughout his life.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Scarlett Jefferson; two children, Jaurice Taylor and Mercades Jefferson; and four grandchildren, Zah'riah Taylor, Na'Layah Williams, Kassius, and Khloie Woodard. He is also survived by seven sisters: Cheryl Taylor, Stacy (Al) Collins, Tara Moses, Michelle Brown of Cochran, Georgia, Cassandra Brown of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Tammy Brown of Hawkinsville, Georgia, and Loraine Layne of Columbus, Ohio; and eight brothers: Anthony Taylor of Delavan, Wisconsin, Wilbert Taylor of Rockford, Illinois, Andrew (Felicia) Gilbert of Moultrie, Georgia, Jim Taylor, Mack (Sherry) Taylor, Travis Taylor, Bradley (Shanlonnia) Taylor of Cochran, Georgia, and Shawtavius Brown of Hawkinsville, Georgia. Additional survivors include two aunts, Tommie Jean Killings of Hawkinsville, Georgia, and Bernell Hobes of Warner Robins, Georgia; one uncle, Richard (Antonia) Busby of Minnesota; his best friend, Timothy King; special niece and nephew, Kianna Rozier and Anthony Hansel; special cousins Michelle Busby and Eugene Holliman; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jim Mack Johnson, and four aunts and four uncles. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
