Jill Diane Smith

Jill Diane Smith, 60, of New Matamoras, Ohio, passed away on March 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 1, 1965, in Sistersville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Murphy and Kay Holdren-Murphy of Sardis, Ohio. Jill devoted her life to her family and home, taking great pride in her roles as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Smith; her children, Kayla Dunn (Terry), Breanne Dunn (Wilbur III), and Logan Smith; and her grandchildren, TJ Dunn (Grace), Coden Dunn (Kalyn), Kaylee Dunn, Brooklyn Dunn, Lexie Dunn, Aubree Dunn, Laney Dunn, and Paisley Dunn. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Terry Dunn III and Gralyn Dunn, her sister Nancy Gail Shapley (Bob), and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jill was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Ashland Smith, her brother, Randall Murphy, and her sister, Terry McIver.
