Jesus “Flaco” Rodriguez, III

Jesus “Flaco” Rodriguez, III

November 8, 1980 March 8, 2026

Uvalde, TX

Jesus “Flaco” Rodriguez, III, 45, of Uvalde, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Uvalde. Born on November 8, 1980, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to Olivia (Chapa) and Jesus Rodriguez, Jesse was known as a protector, provider, and one of the most loving and wholehearted people one could ever meet. There was no limit to the way he loved; he gave freely, even when it meant going without himself. He never had to know someone personally to lend a helping hand—if someone needed help, he was always there.

Jesse attended Uvalde High School and built a career as a lineman, a profession he proudly worked in for more than ten years, most recently with 3S Services Electrical Distribution. During the week he dedicated himself to his work, and on the weekends he devoted his time to his family. He was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, husband, uncle, and cousin who cherished his family with his whole heart.

He had a gift for making people laugh. Whenever he ran into someone, he always had a joke ready and could brighten even the toughest day with his humor. His passion for his Ford Broncos and his motorcycle reflected his craftsmanship and skill; he truly was a jack of all trades. Above all, Jesse continually sought wisdom and guidance through the Word of God.

He is survived by his son, Kyle Kalel Rodriguez; wife, Michelle Rangel Rodriguez, both of New Braunfels, formerly of Uvalde; stepson Ivan Jordan Munoz and grandchildren Ivan, Jordan Munoz II, and Mikayel Munoz, all of New Braunfels; his parents, Olivia C. Rodriguez and Jesus Rodriguez; brother, Jose Luis Rodriguez, all of Uvalde; niece, Karly Alexandria Rodriguez; and two nephews, AR Cruz and David Hernandez, III, all of Uvalde. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jessica Magon Rodriguez; brother, Arnulfo “Arnie” Rodriguez; maternal grandparents, Reynaldo and Paula Chapa; and paternal grandparents, Jesus and Elizabeth Rodriguez.
