Jesus Arias, Jr.

July 3, 1969 March 7, 2026

Uvalde, TX

Jesus Arias Jr., age 56, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026. He was born on July 3, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, and later moved to Uvalde, Texas, where he made his forever home and became a cherished member of the community.

Jesus was a man deeply rooted in his faith. A devoted Catholic, he cherished the Bible and lived by the teachings of Jesus Christ. His favorite scripture, Matthew 19:26 — “With God all things are possible.” — was a guiding principle in his life and a message he shared often with those around him.

A proud alumnus of Texas A&M University, Jesus dedicated much of his life to teaching and mentoring others. He worked as a teacher and Master Electrician and was the proud owner of A-Fast Electrical Services. Through his work, he not only built a successful business but also built lasting relationships. Jesus frequently used his skills and knowledge to help others—whether assisting families in need or guiding students and apprentices who looked to him for wisdom and encouragement.

Jesus had a passion for life and the things he loved. He was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed sharing that passion with friends and family. Above all, he was known for his generous heart, steady guidance, and unwavering kindness.

He was a loving son, brother, uncle, friend, father, and husband. To many, he was more than family, he was a father figure, mentor, and source of light. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those fortunate enough to know him.

Jesus was preceded in death by his mother, Aurora Arias of Uvalde, Texas. He is survived by his father Jesus Arias Sr. of Uvalde, Texas. As well as his three children: Justine Rae Arias of Uvalde, Texas; Jared Michael Arias of Uvalde, Texas; Jason Matthew Arias of Austin, Texas, along with his four sisters: Martha Arias of Uvalde, Texas; Marybel Peters of San Antonio, Texas; Eloisa Valenzuela of Uvalde, Texas; and Aurora De Hoyos of Uvalde, Texas, and his four brothers: Ricardo Arias of Uvalde, Texas; Rafael Arias of Uvalde, Texas; Peter Arias of Eagle Pass, Texas; and Roberto Arias of Uvalde, Texas. As well as Jesus's loving and supporting partner and spouse Jillian Rodriguez of Uvalde, Texas.

Jesus Arias Jr. will be remembered for his faith, his service to others, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the lessons he shared, and the faith he carried in his heart. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2206, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
