Jessie W. Morgan

Jessie W. Morgan, age 91, passed away peacefully. She was the beloved wife of Walter, devoted mother of David (Carrie) and John (Lisa), loving grandmother of Jonathan (Erin), Meredith (Jeffrey), Kaitlyn (Jeremie), Alexander (Alexandra), and Collin, and cherished great-grandmother of Monroe, Wes, Avery, Graham, Jacob, Josephine, Reagan, Walker, and Leland. She was the dear sister of Dorothy, Maude, Brenda and the late Eugene, Cornelius, Carole, Jerry, George, and Barbara.

Born in Barbourville, Kentucky, Jessie moved to the Detroit area in 1956. She worked as a clerk at the Michigan Bell Telephone Company, where she met her future husband. She and Walter married in 1957 and were active members of Calvary Baptist Church of Hazel Park for fifty years before becoming active at Bloomfield Hills Baptist Church.

Jessie was widely known for her deep love and commitment to her Lord Jesus Christ. She used every opportunity to share her faith with those around her.
