Jessie Frank Mealer, born on March 18, 1965, in Dalton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 10, 2026. A warm and kind-hearted man, Jessie touched the lives of everyone he met with his generous spirit and genuine ability to connect with others. He dedicated many years to his work at Duckworth Farms, where he approached each day with passion and diligence.
Above all, Jessie was a devoted father who filled the lives of his children with love and joy. He was a proud grandfather whose happiest moments came from spending time with his grandchildren. His gentle nature and steadfast affection created a lasting bond with family and friends alike.
He is survived by his daughter, Niki (Chris) Rogers of Ringgold, and his son, Patrick Mealer of Rocky Face. Jessie also leaves behind the children of his late fiancée, Michelle (Daniel) Burk and Michael Amos, both of Dalton. His loving sisters, Diane Mealer of Ringgold and Kathy (Morris) Gowin of Chatsworth, along with many nieces and nephews, carry on his legacy. He was a proud grandfather to Chaysun Caraway and Jaxon Hasty. Jessie is also survived by special friends Josh Phillips, Jessee Chadwick, and Runt Sizemore.
He was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Christine Brookshire Mealer, as well as his step-mother, Betty Mealer. His siblings Ethel Mealer, Trease Morgan, Charles Mealer, David Quarles, and Steve Mealer have also passed on, along with Ida Boyd, his fiancée of 24 years.
