Born February 9, 1931, in Downsville, she was the daughter of the late Lee R. and Emma C. (Mercer) Howell. She is survived by daughters Linda Mumaw, of Hampstead, NC and Deborah Beaver, of Boonsboro, MD; sister Dorothy Phillips, of Boonsboro, MD; grandchildren, Yvette Taft, Charles (Chuck) Mumaw, James Mumaw, Robin Swartz, Brandy Pool and Brett Daugherty; great-grandchildren, Greyson, Alaina, Adalyn, Clayton, Daniel, Ashley, Brooke, Brandon, Joshua, and Chad; great-great-grandchildren, Chase, Ramsey, Kensie, Madison, Levi, Mason and Easton. Preceding her in death were sisters Mary Killian, Nita Norman, Margaret Shannon, Carole Routzhan and brothers Calvin Howell, Joseph Howell and Edgar Howell. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family. At her request there will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements were made by J.L.
