Edison, NJ

Jesse Lee Riddick Jr., age 70, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Born on April 5, 1955, in Windsor, North Carolina, to the late Katherine and Jesse Lee Riddick Sr., he moved with his family to New Jersey, where he built a full and meaningful life.

Jesse attended Barringer High School in Newark and earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. He married the love of his life, Gia, and together they shared 48 years of marriage and raised their daughter, Monique. A devoted husband and caring father, he instilled in Monique strength, intelligence, and perseverance.

For more than 40 years, Jesse was a longtime resident of Edison, New Jersey. He worked as a sales consultant until health challenges led to his early retirement. He found joy in simple pleasures and deep connections, cherishing time with family and nurturing a lifelong love for fishing, cars, music, and watching the cooking channel. His easygoing nature, warm presence, and silly sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Jesse was predeceased by his parents, Katherine and Jesse Lee Riddick Sr., and his siblings, Ernestine “Peggy” Stewart and Chris Riddick. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gia Riddick; his loving daughter, Monique Riddick; the family dog, Bonnie; and his siblings Miriam Riddick, Ricky Riddick, and Stephen Riddick, along with many nieces and nephews.
