Jesse Daniel Davis

Jesse Daniel Davis, age 39, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on March 7, 2026.

Born on July 19, 1986, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Mark Davis and Nancy Swanson, Jesse grew up in the Williamsburg area. At seventeen he joined the Iowa National Guard and soon enlisted in the United States Army, serving with pride on tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

After leaving the military, Jesse returned to civilian life and worked a variety of jobs while maintaining a deep commitment to service. He was an active member of West Gate-Adelphic Lodge #509 in Windsor Heights, where he collaborated with fellow members to support and uplift their community.

Jesse will be remembered for his steadfast dedication to his country, his genuine desire to help others, and the quiet love he held for his family. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Swanson; his son, Sawyer Davis; and his brother, Chris Swanson (Mandi). He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Davis.
