Jessa "Chi Chi" Jennie North

Jessa Jennie "Chi Chi" North, 87, of Walnut Grove, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on May 10, 1938, in Akron, Ohio, she was a woman of deep faith who loved Jesus and remained devoted to her church family at Center Baptist throughout her life. Known for her heart of gold, Chi Chi showed unconditional kindness to everyone she met and worked hard in all she did. She found simple joys in gardening, canning, collecting angels, and caring for her beloved cats. She especially cherished Christmas, giving gifts, and spending time with her family, always making others feel welcome and loved, particularly her grandchildren.

Chi Chi is survived by her children, Jerry North and wife Lori, Terry Forshee and husband Doug, Roy Lee North, Trish Choate and husband Rod, Wesley North and wife Leslie, and Michael North and wife Brandy; her grandchildren, Jason North, Seth Forshee, Chad Forshee, Tyler Choate, Tanner Choate, Matthew North, Amanda North, Amber North, Abby North, and Jessalin North; her great-grandchildren, Savannah, Emily, Danny, and Willow; her brother, Robert Ireton and wife Carolyn; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob North; sons, Francis North and John North; grandchildren, Lori North, Weston North, and Zoe North; her mother, Freda Cotton; and several siblings.
