Jerry Thomas Mason

Jerry Thomas Mason, 82, of Supply, North Carolina, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on March 3, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Carroll J. Mason and Dorothy Keown Mason, Jerry grew up surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Leslie M. Medlock and Vicki M. Weaver.

A veteran of the United States Navy, Jerry graduated from Troy University and built a long and respected career as a scheduler in the nuclear and fossil fuel industries. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending many peaceful days fishing and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of nearly forty years, Carol Dean Smith Mason, and his children: Greg Mason (Sabrina), Tony Mason, Chrissie M. Poindexter (Steve), Vicki C. Buffkin, Matthew Corbett, and Adam Corbett. He is also survived by his sisters, Toni M. Scott (Billy) and Wendi M. Tilden (David), as well as his grandchildren—Michael and Adriana Mason, Ashleigh, Stephen, and Ryan Poindexter, Jennifer B. Strickland (John), Josh Buffkin (Kristen), Jonathan Buffkin (Lindsey), Alden Corbett, and River Corbett—and nine great-grandchildren. Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
