Jerry Paul Adkins

Jerry Paul Adkins of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee, at the age of 82. Born on August 25, 1943, in Bruce, Mississippi, he was the son of Howard and Eula Adkins. Jerry graduated from Memphis Technical High School with the class of 1961 and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army for two years, showing unwavering dedication during his time in uniform.

After his military service, Jerry worked as a machinist at a printing company, where he applied his skill and craftsmanship throughout his career. He found great joy in his free time fishing and savoring the quiet peace of the outdoors. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Adkins Morris, and a host of nieces and nephews who will carry forward the memories of his life.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Howard Samuel Adkins; his mother, Eula Kathleen Killough Adkins; and his brother, Samuel Richard Adkins. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
