Jerry Lewis Stracener, 51, of DeRidder, Louisiana, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on April 10, 1974, in DeRidder, he was the son of the late John Lincoln Stracener and Essie Mae Mayo Stracener. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lola Mae Jordan.
Jerry possessed a kind soul and an infectious spirit that touched everyone around him. He found special joy in the company of children and animals, and his heart remained forever anchored to the memory of his beloved mother. An adventurous spirit, he loved fishing in tranquil waters, searching for hidden treasures, and sharing good meals around the table with family and friends. Above all, he cherished his siblings and the laughter and shared history they enjoyed together.
He is survived by his brothers: Charlie Stracener (Tammy) of Pitkin, Leon Stracener (Katie) of DeRidder, LeRoy Stracener (Tina) of Pitkin, Chester Stracener (Shauna) of Pitkin, and John Stracener (Angela) of Pitkin; and his sisters: Edith Mancil (Wallace) of DeRidder, Claire Reeves (Larry) of DeRidder, and Linda Brown of Leesville. Jerry’s gentle spirit and loving nature will live on through his many nieces and nephews who were blessed to know him.
