Jerry L. Glass

Jerry L. Glass, 85, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away on March 11, 2026, at his home. Born on October 20, 1940, in Newton, Kansas, he was the son of Harley and Pearl (Geer) Glass.

Jerry married Shirley Glass on March 20, 1960, in Las Animas, Colorado. They shared 54 years of marriage until her passing in 2015. He worked for 23 years as a machine operator at Consolidated Manufacturing and later volunteered with AARP Tax Services, often alongside Shirley. He found quiet joy in watching science fiction movies, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Glass; his daughter, Jacqueline Douthit; his brothers, Gerald Glass, Harley Glass Jr., and Carl Glass; and his sisters, Charlotte Poland and Nancy Forbes.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Virginia (Andrew) Snow; his adopted daughter, Terri (John) Lickteig; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
