Jerry J. Sweet, Ph.D., 74, passed away on March 9, 2026, in Glenview, Illinois, after a long and courageous battle with multiple cancers.

Jerry lived a life marked by intellectual curiosity, professional dedication, and quiet strength. He will be remembered for his sharp mind and the many lives he touched through his work and personal relationships. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, who will carry forward the values and memories he shared with them.

A private interment will take place at St. John's Cemetery in Bangor, Pennsylvania. A celebration of Jerry’s life is planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Compassion and Choices.
