Jerry grew up in Copan where he could be seen riding his bicycle everywhere, usually on a wheelie.Jerry was a hard worker his entire life. His last notable jobs were at Montgomery Ward and Atwood's. Jerry always treated his customers with care and understanding and went above and beyond whenever possible. A lot of daily lifting resulted in multiple back and neck surgeries in his later years leaving him with constant pain.In Jerry's last years he was known as the door guard in his apartment complex. Every day he sat in the lobby and visited with any or all who came by making sure they got what they needed whether it be a roll of toilet paper, a light bulb, or just a smile. They all loved him.Jerry didn't always make the best decisions about his kids. From those decisions he was estranged from his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, with the exception of a daughter, Julie Dawn.Jerry was preceded in death of his parents George & Frances Johnson, and a son, Chad Johnson.Jerry is survived by his siblings: Joe, Mark, & Wendy; 2 daughters; 2 sons; 7 grandkids; 3 great grandkids; nephews; nieces; aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.Services are pending. Arrangements are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home Dewey Chapel.
