We are sad to announce that on March 8, 2026, at the age of 75, Jerry Dean Helton of Oneonta, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Jerry departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jerry may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jerry leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kelly and Dora Helton; and his siblings, Thomas, Robert, William, David, Carl, Paul, Gene and Frances McTarsney.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Helton; and his sister Louise Helton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
