Jeremy Alan Rogers
January 11, 1945— March 8, 2026
Wilmington, DE
Jeremy Alan Rogers, known affectionately as “Big Al,” passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. Born in New Castle, England, he was the son of the late Alwyn (Rusby) and Jeremiah R. Rogers. After graduating from Brown Vocational High School, Jeremy began a distinguished career as a pipe fitter with Local Union 74 that spanned more than six decades. He generously shared his knowledge by teaching math classes to new union members for over twenty years.
Jeremy embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved traveling, hunting, skiing, and sailing, but found his greatest joy in the company of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Patrick and Richard “Pete” Rogers, and his sister Judith Schwagel.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Gloria Testone Rogers; his daughter, Genevieve Rogers; his stepsons, Michael and Stephen McHugh; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and close family friends who were all dear to him.
