Jeremiah MacDonald ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes - Southside Chapel on Feb. 22, 2026.Jeremiah David MacDonald, 23 of Lakeland, tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in a single vehicle accident driving home from work on February 17, 2026 in Mulberry, FL. Jeremiah is met in Heaven by his Great Grandfathers Steven R. Colgate, John H. Robinson, and James B. Hall. Jeremiah is survived by his Son Uriah David MacDonald, his wife Madison Hope Strahan and her family, his Father Jason MacDonald, his Mother Katie MacDonald, his sister Kaylee MacDonald and her children Abel and Azalea, his brother Gabriel MacDonald and his daughter Indya Rose, his Uncle James C Hall, his Nana Mary Keene, his Grandfather Ronnie Hall, Great Grandmothers Rosemary Colgate and Leona Robinson, and too many others, that loved him so deeply, to list by name. Jeremiah was born May 16, 2002, in Brandon, FL. to Jason and Katie MacDonald. When Jeremiah was 1 year old his family moved to Colorado Springs, CO. where he grew up in the outdoors and playing football at Fox Meadows middle school and Harrison High School. Jeremiah was a sweet kid with a very big heart and a lot of energy; those things never changed about him. We all saw the best come out in Jeremiah when he became a father in 2023. He was a GREAT Daddy who really enjoyed being a father, though it was his most challenging role in life. Uriah pushed him to be the best he could be each day and that brought him back to God. Jeremiah was dedicated to bringing his family to Jesus Christ as well which led him to recommit his life to Jesus, his wife to commit her life to Jesus and his son, at 2 years old, to ask to go to church all week long! Jeremiah also brought his best friend, a brother in love since 11 years old, to church which led him to his salvation as well! He was man's man that always wanted to be with his family, enjoyed fishing, watching football, and shooting; But, he loved to drive his Jeep in the woods with his Dad. He really liked that Jeep, but only a Jeep guy could understand that because it was always a problem. He and his Dad were so sick of working on that thing, but he always wanted one and off roading is a family past time. Jeremiah worked hard for his family as a mechanic who was proud of his position at Transphos in their shop working on heavy trucks and trailers, he had so many good things to say about everyone he worked with. Jeremiah also spent a lot of nights before bed playing Xbox online with his wife, Dad, and friends. His gamer tag is Superdad0222, I can't think of a better one for him. He was a Miami Dolphins fan, most of the time. Lately, he was really tired of them losing! Talking and watching football with his Papa was something he enjoyed as well. They sure did like to joke around with each other and talk junk about each other's teams. Jeremiah will be greatly, deeply missed having left a big mark on this world in his short life. Everyone who knew him will speak of his kind heart, amazing smile, and most loving meaningful hugs. Jeremiah was a GREAT man in all aspects and this is what has made his family the most proud. Make him proud by carrying on his kindness, his sense of adventure, and most importantly by giving your life to Jesus so that you can hug him again someday. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Philippians 1:3-6 I thank my God every time I remember you. [4] In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy [5] because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, [6] being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.Celebration of Life will be held at Together Church 6725 N Socrum Loop Rd in Lakeland on February 25th, 2026.
