Jennifer Michelle Pemberton

Jennifer Michelle Pemberton, 41, of Gilmer, Texas, passed away unexpectedly in her home on March 8, 2026. Though she had been a longtime resident of Gilmer, Connecticut remained her true home, the place where her heart always resided and where she had hoped to return after the recent passing of her beloved mother, Renee Newell.

Jenn faced many struggles, pain, and grief throughout her life, yet her determination to succeed never wavered. She was beautiful, intelligent, and funny, with a special love for dolphins and a deep devotion to animals. She rescued her four cherished dogs—Lucky, Turbo, and Puddin—along with her soul dog Ryder, who predeceased her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 24 years, Troy Pemberton; her loving father, William Piccolo; and her beloved children, Markus Rizzo and Amaya Pemberton. She is also survived by her brother, Patrick Novotny, and her sisters, Monica Novotny and Rachael Hoover, as well as a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, many of whom were raised more like siblings. Jennifer will be deeply missed and will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. A private celebration of life is planned for family and close friends upon her return home.
