Jennifer Meagan Garza, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at the age of 47. Born on July 30, 1978, in Corpus Christi, TX, Jennifer was a vibrant soul whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jennifer was known far and wide for her friendly demeanor and her unwavering willingness to help others. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she made it her life's mission to support and uplift those around her. Family was at the heart of her existence; she cherished every moment spent with them and found immense joy in their laughter and successes. Her love for her nephews and niece was particularly profound, and she took great pride in being a guiding light in their lives.
A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Jennifer’s spirited cheers for her team were matched only by her enthusiasm for life itself. She carried with her the spirit of loyalty and camaraderie that defined her character, not just as a fan but as a person who brought people together.
Jennifer is survived by her loving brother, John (Melissa Perez) Sotello; along with her cherished nephews, John M. Sotello Jr. and Matthew Sotello; her niece, Janie Marie Sotello; and her stepfather, Zack Juarez. Each of these family members carries with them the memories of her love, laughter, and the countless ways she enriched their lives.
The legacy of Jennifer Meagan Garza will endure in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her. Her friendly smile, infectious laughter, and selfless nature will be forever remembered and deeply missed. She was, and always will be, a shining star in the lives of those she touched.
Jennifer's family will receive condolences on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 1:30 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave. A Holy Rosary and Liturgy of the Word will begin at 1:30 PM followed by Rite of Committal and Interment at Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer, TX.
Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron E. Howard III, Humberto Leal (Panther), Ricardo Juarez (Lil Richard), Raymond Estrada (Ray), Raymond Estrada Jr. and Nehemia Estrada. Honorary pallbearers will be John Michael Sotello Jr. and Mathew Sotello.
