Jennifer Roberts ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Bannan Funeral Home - Alpena on Mar. 17, 2026.Jennifer Marie Roberts, 73, of Ossineke passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Midland following an accidental fall in Hawks.Jennifer Marie Borland was born in Detroit on October 6, 1953, to the late Vincent and Mable (Nanas) Borland. On September 12, 1975, she married A. Wayne Roberts. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2017. Most recently she was engaged to Rev. Colonel Jack Ferguson with a wedding date planned for April 18, 2026. She worked and retired in the human resource office for NBD Bank, Citizens Bank and Alcona Health Center. Jennifer's compassion continued following her death as she saved and healed the lives of others through organ, eye and tissue donation.Surviving are siblings, Christina Fries, Patrice Lessnau, Christopher (Mary) Borland, Dennis (Hilda) Borland, Veronica Singleton, Therese (Thomas) Leszcz, Deborah (Timothy) Wagner; daughter, Victoria (Thomas Richards) Roberts; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; her fiancé, Jack Ferguson and his daughter, Jennifer (John) Robinson and their 3 children; many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Keith; 3 brothers-in-laws, James Fries, Mark Lessnau, and James Singleton.Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home in Alpena on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 2-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorial visitation will continue on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Emmanuel Finbarr officiating.Inurnment: Sanborn Township Cemetery at a later date.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to the Gift of Life Michigan.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
