Jennifer "Jenny" Lynn Taylor

Jennifer Lynn Taylor of Birch Run, known affectionately as Jenny, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at My Michigan Medical Center in Saginaw at the age of 76. Born Jennifer Lynn Smith on October 16, 1949, in Saginaw, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Henry and Celia May (Burk) Smith. A proud 1967 graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Jenny continued her education at Delta College, where she studied accounting. While attending church with her sister, she met the love of her life, Gene Donald Taylor. They married on July 11, 1981, and shared many happy years together until his death on May 5, 2015.

Jenny worked as an office manager for Mutual of Omaha Insurance and Light House Electric Company. A lifelong and faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, she was also a gifted seamstress who used her five embroidery machines to design and create her own clothing and items for her online eBay business. She found joy in working on wordsearch and crossword puzzles and loved watching classic movies on TMC, particularly those featuring Elvis Presley. Meticulous in all things, Jenny will be remembered above all for her deep love and unwavering loyalty to her family.

She is survived by her siblings, Vicki Mills of Saginaw, Tim (Deborah) Smith of Denver, Colorado, and Donna (Brian) Leinberger of Freeland, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who remained close to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene D. Taylor; her mother, Celia and Don Gross; and her father, Alvin and Arlene Smith.
