Jennifer Beard

Jennifer Ann “Maw” Beard, 75, of Attica, passed away on March 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 20, 1950, in Willard to the late Ernest and Beatrice (Covert) Featheringill, she grew up as an active 4-H member, riding her beloved barrel horse “Rebel” in contest classes and later serving as a 4-H advisor for twenty years. A former member of the Clyde Eagles, she found great joy in crafts and sewing, lovingly making blankets and baby bibs for her children. She cherished family camping trips and vacations to Florida, but her most treasured moments were spent with her children and grandchildren, including peaceful buggy rides with her husband, her grandkids, and her dog Bella.

Maw is survived by her husband, James Eugene Beard, whom she married on April 9, 1968; her children, Brian (Carla) Featheringill, Joshua (Tammy) Beard, Amanda (William) Zellner, Jason (Laura) Beard, Jeremy (Andrea) Beard, and Brenda Hattaway; 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, with two more great-grandchildren on the way; and her brothers, Jeff (Barbara) Featheringill, James (Karen) Featheringill, and Joel (Caroline) Featheringill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Beatrice Featheringill; her daughter, Lori Shade; her granddaughter, Amber Claytor; and her brother, John Featheringill.
