November 30, 1942— February 28, 2026
Rock Falls, IA
Jennette Mary Conn, née Schrank, 83, of Rock Falls, passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2026. Born on November 30, 1942, to Roger and Edna Schrank in Cedar Falls, she spent most of her life on the family farm near Rock Falls. That land was her true home and heart, the place where she raised her children, planted gardens, and watched horses run beneath the open Iowa sky.
A dedicated nurse for many years, Jennette approached her work with deep compassion and steadiness. Caring for others came naturally to her, and she formed many lasting bonds through her profession. She also found great joy in riding horses, especially her beloved Angel, and in tending her gardens, where she nurtured both vegetables and flowers with quiet pride.
Above all, Jennette cherished her family. She was happiest when her children and grandchildren gathered at the farm, sharing meals, laughter, and the simple moments that meant everything to her.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Dodge and Loy Conn, and her brother, Merle Schrank. Jennette is lovingly remembered by her children, Victoria (Keith) Benhart, Monica (Chris Bessman) Dodge, Lee (Sarah) Dodge, and Grace (Butch Wersinger) Dodge; her sister, Evelyn Koester; her grandchildren, Stephanie Benhart, Cody (Hannah) Benhart, Emma (Aiden) Pierson, Adam (Pricila) Benhart, Phoebe Benhart, Rafe Bessman, Aaliyah Dodge, Parker Dodge, Cassidy (Gordon) Abkes, and Colton (Kelli) Wersinger; and her great-grandchildren, Bowen Benhart, Brady Abkes, Hayden Abkes, Talon Abkes, Otto Wersinger, and Waylon Wersinger. Her legacy of strength, devotion, and compassion endures in the land she loved and in the hearts of all who knew her.
