Jeffrey Wayne Wade of Zachary, Louisiana, was called home to heaven by his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. After serving three years in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Carl Vinson, Jeff worked as a land surveyor for contractors in Louisiana and Florida. For the past fifteen years, he quietly served the Zachary community through HVAC maintenance, house painting, and lawn care, especially for senior adults and widows. Though he struggled for much of his adult life with substance abuse, Jeff remained a kind-hearted, loving, and gentle soul who cherished people and was deeply loved in return. Even in hardship, he never lost his devotion to Jesus, his family, or his church family. His sweet spirit, radiant smile that could light up a room, and warm bear hugs will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
Jeff is survived by his sisters, Penny Fletcher and her husband Andy, Janet Blount and her husband Craig, and his brother Bobby Wade and wife Jo Leah, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert and Carol Wade. His family remains grateful for a merciful Savior who held Jeff securely through his sixty-seven years and has now welcomed him into his eternal home, free from every struggle.
