Downey, 55, of Winslow, IN passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. He was born October 31, 1970 in Anderson, IN to Tom Downey and Phyllis (Burress) Downey. Jeff married Candance (Stepp) Downey January 16, 1992. He had lived in Winslow since 2003, moving there from Frankfort, IN. Jeff was self-employed in the sports game business. He enjoyed collecting sports cards, making and selling sports games, and painting sports related pictures. Jeff loved spending time with his grandchildren, and would make sure to always have a gift for each of them.He is survived by his parents, Tom and Phyllis Downey of Princeton; wife, Candace Downey of Winslow; children, Chris (Jessica) Downey of Princeton and Tony Downey of Evansville; grandchildren, Claire Downey and Violet Downey; siblings, Andy Downey of Owensville and Brad Downey of Muncie; and canine companions, Toby and Thor.A private graveside service will be held at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, IN.
