Jeffrey Lane Martin

Jeffrey Lane “Bodine” Martin, 53, of Houston, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born on August 26, 1972, in Amory to Larry Wayne Martin and Reva Walls Martin, he was a longtime member of Pearson Chapel Church of the Nazarene.

Jeff was a dedicated worker who began at a young age at Martin & Jones Furniture. Though he grew up in the furniture business, his true passion turned to farming and driving tractors. For more than twenty years he worked for Vance Farms. He found great joy in the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and running dogs in pursuit of rabbits. Above all, he was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving partner, Jannette Wilkerson; daughters Lana Danielle Criddle (Josh) and April Jade Wilkerson, both of Houston; son Chance Tucker (Alexia) of Tupelo; brother Wayne Martin of Houston; step-children Justin Wilkerson of Houston, Dillon Wilkerson (Faith) of Algoma, and Haley Wilkerson (Hayden) of Algoma; eleven grandchildren; nephews Brandon Martin, Matthew “Hoopie” Martin, and Tim Martin; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Reva Martin, a son, and a step-son.
