Jeffrey L. KroppJeffrey L. Kropp, 67, of Tamaqua, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026, in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Wanda L. (Miller) Kropp. They were married on Sept. 13, 1980, and celebrated 45 years of marriage.Jeff was the Modification Center Manager at Trans Edge Truck Center, a.k.a. Allentown Mack, for over 25 years. Prior to that, he was employed as a master welder at Spec Tec, St. Clair, and Summit Trailers, Summit Station.Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Stanley E. Sr. and Dorothy S. (Smith) Kropp.Jeff had a strong faith, and he was a member of Primitive Methodist Church, Tamaqua. He loved his family and animals, and he enjoyed taking his son fishing. He was an avid drag racing spectator, and he owned and operated a Dodge Charger Funny Car at Maple Grove Raceway.His wife, Wanda, and son, Jacob, describe Jeff as, "One of the best men to ever live." An intelligent and quiet soul, Jeff will be remembered as an amazing husband and incredible father. Throughout his life, he was an avid outdoorsman, always wanting to retreat into nature. Jeff is described as always being present and willing to help at the drop of a hat.Nicknamed "MacGyver" by his coworkers and friends, he was renowned as being able to fix almost anything. Aside from his vast expertise, he was an avid collector of Hot Wheels and a skilled model car enthusiast.He will be deeply missed by everyone who was a part of his life. Jeff was also preceded in death by three brothers, Rev. George P., John E. and Stanley E. Jr.; and his mother-in-law, Shirley O. Miller.Surviving in addition to his wife, Wanda, are his son, Jacob, and his companion, Amber, of Conyngham Valley; brother, Herbert J., and his wife, Kathleen, of Tamaqua; sister, Remel A. Durilla; father-in-law, Donald C. Miller; and nieces and nephews.Visitation: A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 13, at the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Rt. 309, New Ringgold.
