Preserve forever →Jeffrey James "Jeff" Jaeggi
Passed March 2, 2026
Simpsonville, SC
Jeffrey Jaeggi, 67, of Simpsonville, husband of Stacey Ziemke Jaeggi, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 2, 2026.
Born in Patterson, New Jersey, he was the son of Marion Bull Jaeggi and the late Raymond James Jaeggi. In addition to his wife, Jeff is survived by their children, Greg Jaeggi, and Rae Broome and her husband, Taylor, and four grandchildren, Harrison Jaeggi, AJ, Whit, and Miller Broome.
Jeff grew up in Ridgewood, New Jersey, where his lifelong passions for drumming, golf, basketball, and cars first took root. He graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1976 before heading south to attend the University of South Carolina. It was at USC that he met the love of his life, Stacey, in typing class when he asked to borrow a sheet of paper. They spent their time in Columbia cruising in his Torino and cheering on the Gamecocks. He earned a degree in Journalism in 1983.
Soon after graduation, Jeff and Stacey married and settled in the Upstate, where he began a long career in pharmaceutical sales. They welcomed their son Greg in 1988 and their daughter Rae in 1992. Jeff was a devoted family man who rarely missed a game, match, recital, or concert. A dedicated father, husband, and coach, his positive presence and larger-than-life personality lit up every room he entered. He found great joy on the golf course, achieving seven hole-in-ones, serving as Club Champion at Ridgewood Country Club in 1980, earning two Member & Son titles there, winning the Member/Member at Holly Tree Country Club in 2016, and securing four Senior Club Championships at HTCC.
After forty years in the pharmaceutical industry, marked by numerous awards and accolades, Jeff retired in 2024. In retirement, he played drums in the praise band at The Methodist Church of Simpsonville, volunteered with The First Tee of the Upstate, and served as the girls’ head golf coach at Mauldin High School. Above all, he cherished his role as “Pop” to his four beloved grandchildren. Jeff will be remembered for his infectious laugh, booming voice, and the profound impact he made on everyone who knew him.
