Jeffrey Dennis Hunsaker

Jeffrey Dennis Hunsaker, age 64, was born on March 14, 1961, in Jenkins, Kentucky, to Ted and Patricia Hunsaker Sr. He passed away on March 8, 2026.

Jeff and his brother Teddy owned coal companies in Kentucky for several years before he moved to Knoxville, where he owned and operated excavation companies. A devoted Kentucky basketball fan, he also found joy in bass fishing and following NASCAR racing. He was deeply loved by his family, friends, and associates, who will miss him greatly.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya Maynard Hunsaker; son, Jeffrey Hunsaker II and his girlfriend Alexandria Makoutz; daughter, Emily (Benji) Harless; grandchildren, Abel, Axel, Ace, and Avie Harless; his mother, Patricia (E.B.) Widener; brothers, Teddy (Sandy) Hunsaker Jr. and David (Judy) Hunsaker; and sister-in-law, Cindy (Randy) Toler, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Hunsaker Sr.
