He was born on July 23, 1977, a twin and the oldest of four sons born to Doug and Marsha (Dunckel) Brook.Jeff graduated from St. Johns High School in 1995 and went on to earn an associate degree in business from Lansing Community College. He dedicated over 30 years of hard work to Trust Thermal and most recently began working with GFL Environmental in October of 2025.In 1997, Jeff met the love of his life, Katrina Bihlmeyer, at Michigan State University. They were married on August 4, 2001, and made their home in Holt, where they built a life centered around family, raising their four children, as well as welcoming bonus children and exchange students into their home.Jeff was a loving and supportive husband, father, and friend. He was known for his quiet, kind, and thoughtful nature, as well as his unwavering loyalty, strength, and strong work ethic. He took great pride in providing for his family, while always making time to be present in his children's lives.He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially time spent in the woods and on the water. Jeff enjoyed hunting deer, duck, turkey, and goose, and fishing of all kinds, especially ice fishing and catfishing. His strong sense of integrity showed in everything he did-even during Sunday movie nights, euchre, and family game nights, where he made sure the rules were always followed, firmly believing in no speeding, no talking with food in your mouth, and absolutely no cheating during games.Jeff also loved RV road trips out west, always eager to stop for photos at the most unusual and memorable roadside sights. He had a knack for finding hidden treasures, whether antique trinkets or items discovered through his work. He often had creative lunches and dinners and had a particular fondness for cinnamon rolls. Known as someone who could fix just about anything, Jeff was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Jeff fulfilled a lifelong dream in 2022 when he earned his firefighting degree and began working on call with the Delhi Township Fire Department.Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Katrina; his children, Quentin (Asia Strobel), Elijah, Sawyer, and Sierra; his bonus daughter, Ava Holland; and his foster daughter, R.G; his parents, Doug and Marsha Brook; his brothers, Jeremy (Michelle) Brook, Jon Brook, and Joel Brook; his nieces and nephews; and his in-laws, Nancy and John Bihlmeyer, as well as many extended family members and dear friends.A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, 11 AM, at McGeehan Funeral Home, 1500 Waterford Pkwy, St. Johns.
