Jeannette Burnett

Jeannette Burnett of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 95. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose quiet faith and steady presence shaped the lives of those around her.

Predeceased by her husband Keith, both of whom were longtime members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Jeannette was also preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Mary Kunchynski (née Chula), her sister Laura Peters, and her son-in-law Bruce Kurtzbach.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Matczynski (Neil) and Kelly Carney (Rex); her grandchildren, Tara Mettler (Jason), David Kurtzbach (Tracy), Brandon Kurtzbach (Michelle), Ashley Kurtzbach, and Brittany Becker (Brandon); and her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Keegan. Through her long life, Jeannette remained a source of gentle strength and loving example for her family.
