Cadillac, MI

Jeanne Marie Milliman passed away peacefully at her home in Cadillac on March 6, 2026. She was 75.

Born on September 1, 1950 in Reed City, Michigan, to Roland and Mildred (Gustafson) Peterson, Jeanne graduated from Reed City High School. She devoted her working life to caring for others as a nursing assistant, treating every resident with patience, kindness, and deep respect, as though they were members of her own family.

Jeanne had a profound love for animals and nature. She delighted in watching wildlife, befriended a chipmunk that visited her daily, and cared devotedly for many pets throughout her life. She possessed a special gift for growing things and could often be found tending her flower beds, vegetable gardens, or caring for her many houseplants. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed crafting decorations for her home and loved ones, and she had a natural talent for creating a warm and welcoming living space.

After returning to Cadillac, Jeanne became an active member of Temple Hill Baptist Church, where she formed many cherished friendships and found meaningful support among the women of the congregation. Above all, she treasured her family and took great joy in her role as grandmother to eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Curt (Brenda) Gregory of Reeseville, Wisconsin, and Theresa Quakenbush of Cadillac; her grandchildren, Tyler (Rachel) Gregory, Samantha Hancock, Jessica Gregory, Jaryd Gregory, Amanda Gregory, Sarah Gregory, and Kristina Gregory; and her great-grandchildren, Parker Hancock, Lincoln Hancock, Eleanor Hancock, Lennex Hancock, and Elsey Gregory, as well as many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, her firstborn son Brian Gregory, and her grandson Zeke Quakenbush.
