Jeanne (Stevenson) Gwaltney,

age 67 of Plainfield, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

Jeanne was born on April 15, 1958, to her parents, the late Mark and Violet Mae (Wigal) Stevenson.

Jeanne was a graduate of Ben Davis High School, class of 1976. She retired from Automotive Finance Corporation.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 24 years, Brian D. Gwaltney. Jeanne and Brian were married on October 13, 2001, in Plainfield, Indiana.

Jeanne cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She was a talented writer and enjoyed writing children's stories. She also loved hanging out with her family pet, Daisy.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents as well as by her sisters, Angela Nulty (Glenn), and Rosemarie Teimmell (Bill).

Surviving to treasure Jeanne’s memory is her husband, Brian; her children, Randall Burba (Stephanie), Racheal (Burba) Prock, and stepson Alex Gwaltney; her grandchildren, Zaylee Burba, Evelyn Burba, Paige Prock, and Brooklynn Prock; brothers, David Stevenson, Luke Stevenson (Cynthia), John Stevenson, and Matthew Stevenson; sisters, Patti Friel (Rick), and Wendy Dye (Rickey).

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 4:00pm-8:00om at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township, located at 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46221.

Her funeral service will be held the following morning, Friday, March 20, 2026, beginning at 11:00am at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township.

Following the funeral service, Jeanne will be laid to rest at West Ridge Park Cemetery. In honor of Jeanne, please wear her favorite color, pink, to the services.
