Jean-Louis G. Gagne1935 - 2026CHICOPEEJean-Louis G. "Jerrry" Gagne, 91, of Chicopee, passed away at Pioneer Valley Health & Rehabilitation in South Hadley on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. He was born on February 8, 1935 in Highgate, Vermont and was the son of Pierre and Beatrice (Laroche) Gagne. Jerry was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4044. He worked as a forklift selector for the Sweet Life Foods Company. Jerry is survived by his wife of 24 years, Pauline (Lefebvre) Hanechak Gagne; his children, Maurice Gagne and his wife, Janice of Ludlow, Rachel Ashline of Bristol, VT, Jacqueline Depatie and her husband, Simon of Highgate, VT, and David, Michael and Brian Hanechak; his siblings, Lina Roberge, Rolande Renaud, Cyrille Gagne, and Dianne Laroche; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jerry is predeceased by his first wife, Rita (Gagne) Gagne; a son, Denis Gagne and a sister, Lillian Stenta. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee from 9:30-10:30 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St. in Chicopee at 11 am. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Indian Orchard.
