Jeanette I. "Nettie" Kremski

1942 — 2026

Muskego, WI

Jeanette I. Kremski, lovingly known as Nettie, passed away peacefully at her home in Muskego on March 11, 2026. Born on September 5, 1942 in Peoria, Illinois, Nettie lived a life rich in love, kindness, and generosity. A talented quilt maker and seamstress, she served as a cherished quilting instructor at Hearthside Quilters’ Nook, where she generously shared her passion and skill with others. Her dedication to the craft was recognized with a “Best of Show” award at the Wisconsin State Fair, and the quilts she created with such care remain treasured by all who received them.

Nettie shared a loving marriage of 64 and a half years with her husband, Doug. She was a devoted mother to Debbie (Rick) Stoddard, Chris (Jamie) Spencer, and Brad (Michelle) Kremski, and a proud grandmother to Cassie (Josh) Schneller, Nick (Anna) Stoddard, Lauren (Rick) Szymanski, Adam Spencer, Jake Yingling, and Aiden Kremski. Her great-grandchildren—Joey, Henry, Emme, Lyla, and Rosie—brought her special joy and filled her days with laughter. Gentle and warm-hearted, Nettie placed the needs of others before her own and created lasting memories during family gatherings, where she emphasized the importance of togetherness and shared adventures.

She is survived by her siblings, Bob Wernsman, Beth Casey, and Richard Wernsman, who will carry forward her legacy of warmth and kindness. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Winnie Wernsman.

Nettie’s life was a remarkable journey of compassion, creativity, and love. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit remains stitched into the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
