Jeanette Elaine Roman

Jeanette Elaine Roman, 78, of Ithaca, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born in Ithaca, New York on September 29, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. Bennett and Adella Douglas. Jeanette lived her entire life in Ithaca and worked part time at Target, where she formed many cherished friendships over the years.

She lived with an open heart and a joyful spirit, known for her infectious laughter and generous soul. Jeanette brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met, and her love and laughter remain a lasting presence in the lives of those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of more than thirty years, Ronald Roman, whom she married in 1993; her son Kenneth (Tammie) Bennett; and her son Darryl (Marcy) Rivers. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ashley, Brandon and Victoria Swansbrough, Kenneth R., Joshua and Kennedy Bennett, Tyler and Lisa Rivers, and David JR and Mara Rivers, along with many great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Swansbrough, her son David Rivers Sr., her sister Christine Bennett, her brother Robert H. Bennett Jr., and her parents.
