Jean R. Younger

Jean R. Younger, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on March 11, 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital. She was 89 years old. Born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Jean lived a life rooted deeply in faith, family, and the simple joys that make each day worth savoring.

Jean is survived by her beloved daughter, Desiree Rineer, and son-in-law Jeffrey Rineer of Millersville, Pennsylvania. She leaves behind three cherished grandchildren — Joshua, (spouse Katie) Ashlee (spouse Lauren), and Ian (spouse Kali) Rineer — and five great-grandchildren who were truly her world: Avery, Lennon, Eleanor, Edie, and Laila Rineer. She is also survived by her siblings Faye, Richard, Donna, and Randy.

Those who knew Jean knew her as someone who found beauty in the everyday. She delighted in the crispness of a spring morning and the warmth of a fall afternoon. She could be found cheering enthusiastically for whatever sport happened to be on television, her loyalty never wavering regardless of the score. She had a special affection for her "deli girls" — who were far more than coworkers; they were friends. And when it came to sharing a sweet treat with her great-grandchildren, there was no greater joy.

Jean's memory will live on in every autumn leaf, every game-day cheer, every shared dessert, and every laugh around the table. She was loved beyond measure and will be missed beyond words.

Jean’s service will be held on March 21, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. The , followed by the service at 10 am. Any donations in Jean’s remembrance can be given to The Loft, a local non-profit in Millersville, Pa, 164 W. Cottage Ave. Millersville, PA 17551.
