Jean Dolgner ObituaryPublished by Legacy on Mar. 10, 2026.Jean R. (Jeaner) Dolgner, (92) of Countryside, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9 from congestive heart failure. Jean was born in Brookfield, Illinois to Byrl and Marie (Rode) McElwain, and grew up in LaGrange, Illinois. The third of three children, Jean was preceded in death by her brothers Junior and Bob. Jean was a 1951 graduate of Lyons Township High School, where she was introduced to her true love and husband of 61 years, Ray Dolgner, whom she met through a mutual high school friend and married in 1954. Ray preceded Jean in death in 2015. Jean worked as a bookkeeper and purchasing manager, as well as being a successful entrepreneur as the owner of "The Mood" Bar and Grill, a Countryside landmark where Ray and Jean had been the proud proprietors since 1972. Jean was deeply religious and was a lifelong member at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hodgkins. Jean found passion in her family and friends, as well as pontoon rides at their lake home in Michigan and cheering on her team with Sunday Bears games. Jean is survived by her and Ray's three children; Dave (Heather), Donna O'Mahoney (John) and Dan (Jodie), as well as five grandchildren; Taylor Pintaro (Nick), Tami Maslanka (Drew), Rachel Sabo (J.C.), Alex and Alena and two great grandchildren; Michael and Barrett Pintaro. Jean's family and friends will be paying their respects in a private service and Jean will be laid to rest next to her husband in their family's section at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Hodgkins, Illinois.
