Born February 27, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, to Patricia and Charles O'Brien, she was the second of six children. She devoted her life to her family, and to the Lord.Jean was a woman of deep faith, and spread the word of God's love to everyone she met. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, beloved sister and aunt. She was also an entrepreneur, starting and running her own medical transcription business in the 1980's, working from home, long before "WFH" was a trend. She loved her yard, the ocean breeze, and the view from her home, and she adored living in San Clemente. She praised God daily for the beauty all around her.She is survived by her daughters, Laura Law (Philip Law) of Atlanta, GA, and Jackie Miller (Sean Miller) of Long Beach, CA; 8 grandchildren, Ryan Lipert (Jill Lipert) of Santa Cruz, CA, Michael Lipert (Kelsey Lipert) of Dana Point, CA, Katherine Law Adams (Mills Adams) of Austin, TX, Will Law (Janie Law) of Atlanta, GA, J.R., Charlie, Peter, and John Miller of Long Beach, CA; 5 great grandchildren, Liliana and Skylar (daughters of Michael and Kelsey Lipert), Logan and Rylie (daughters of Ryan and Jill Lipert), and Billy Law (son of Will and Janie Law); her sisters, Diana Reusche (Ted Reusche, deceased) of Rancho Mission Viejo, Betsy Prowse (Hap Prowse) of Glendora, CA, and Susan Carr (John Carr) of Glendora, CA.She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Miller, daughter Liz Lipert, brothers Charles O'Brien, Jr., and Terence O'Brien.A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 on March 21, 2026 at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, 5100 E. Broadway Avenue, Long Beach, California 90803. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
