Jean M. Thomas

Jean M. Thomas (née Roche) of Hull, 73, passed away on March 8, 2026.

Jean was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all. A determined and self-sufficient woman, she owned Oceanview Realty and worked for many years as a realtor and broker. Later in life, she returned to school to become a registered nurse, serving at Quincy Medical Center and as a local travel nurse. Throughout her life, Jean remained deeply dedicated to her work while always looking out for her family, encouraging her children and grandchildren to pursue success with the same drive she embodied.

Daughter of the late John and Regina (O’Hearn) Roche, she is survived by her loving children, Christine L. Thomas of Holbrook and Paul J. Thomas of Hull. She was the cherished sister of Robert J. Roche and his wife Jacqueline of Hull, Brian Roche of Kingston, and the late John Francis Roche, whose wife Mary survives him, and the late Sheila Ann Roche. Jean was a proud grandmother to Seanna M. Barone, Jessica E. Barone, Nicole Doherty, Matthew J. Doherty, Ryan J. Thomas, and Courtney E. Thomas, and a great-grandmother to Abel Thomas Cavagnaro, Liam M. Barone, Alexander R. Barone, Aurora Rakes Barone, and Declan Rakes Barone. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews she deeply loved.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
