Jean Larrell Concilio

1950 — 2026

Riverton, WY

Jean Larrell (Anderson) Concilio, born May 8, 1950, in Riverton, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Riverton, surrounded by her family after a courageous ten-year battle with vascular dementia.

Jean grew up in Riverton, graduated from Riverton High School, and went on to serve her country in the United States Army as a Keypunch Operator. There she met her husband, Leonard Concilio. She proudly served for more than three years before receiving an honorable discharge. The couple returned to Riverton to raise their family, welcoming their daughter Amanda and son Matthew (Matt).

Jean spent 35 years working for Fremont County School District #25, first transporting students, then in the school kitchens, and finally as bus garage secretary until her retirement. She was an active member of the Riverton United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed crafting and helping prepare the church for services, even through harsh Wyoming winters. A devoted quilter and member of the Riverton quilt guild, she was honored with a Quilt of Valor in recognition of her military service. She also served as a Girl Scout leader and director while raising her children and spent many years researching her family history and genealogy. Jean cherished her family, her dogs, and her deep connection to Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Einar “Andy” and Roberta Anderson; her parents-in-law, Louis and Irene Concilio; her brothers-in-law, Chuck Concilio, Sonny “Lou” Concilio and wife Joan; her sister-in-law, Lorraine DiFabio; and her four beloved dogs, Puggy, Digger, Rowdy, and Toby.

Jean is survived by her husband, Leonard Concilio of Riverton; her children, Amanda Concilio, and Matt Concilio and his girlfriend Heather Rorabaugh and her children Lilly and Caleb; her grandchildren Elizabeth, Mattison, and Alexandra Leonard; her brothers Neal Anderson and his wife Becky, and Nick Anderson and his wife Nancy; her brothers- and sisters-in-law Joe and Ellen Concilio, Rick and Lorraine Concilio, Dominic DiFabio, and Idona Concilio; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends.
