Jean Karwan

Jean Karwan, 95, of Clifton, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born in Passaic, she lived in Clifton for many years. Jean dedicated four decades as a secretary for the Passaic County Superior Court in Paterson, followed by ten years serving as secretary for St. Joseph RC Church in Passaic before her retirement.

She was the dear sister of the late Edward and Casey Karwan, Florence Yuhas, and Mimi Latza. Jean was the beloved aunt of Gail Hitchuk, Robert Karwan, Edward Karwan, Mark Latza, Andrea Yuhas Schwinabart, Michele Yuhas Lanter, Michael Yuhas, Walter Durda, and the late Dennis Latza and Kevin Karwan. She was the loving companion of the late William Vander Brink and a dear friend of Renee Durda and Violet Sudol.

Jean will be remembered for her steadfast presence in the lives of her family and friends, offering quiet strength and enduring loyalty throughout her long life.
