Jean Eileen Butch Meyers

Jean Eileen Butch Meyers, 92, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, formerly of Dunwoody, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026.

Born on December 23, 1933, in Logansport, Indiana, Jean was the oldest daughter of the late Alexander Peter Butch and the late Gennetta Marie Buchholz Butch. She was a woman of deep and abiding faith who loved her family with quiet strength and devotion. In her later years she missed attending church, yet her faith remained a steady comfort. Those who knew her will remember that she was never happier than when her great-grandson came to visit; he was the light of her life.

She is survived by her three children, Jennie Burroughs (Bob) of Beaufort, South Carolina, Lisa Meyers of Dunwoody, Georgia, and Jeff Meyers (Jeanie) of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Alex Meyers, David Michael Mothershed (Margaret), Caroline Atkinson (Spencer), and Zach Burroughs; and one great-grandson, Harbor Atkinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Max Meyers, and her sister, Sandra Bickhart.
