Jason Samuel Tallyn

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jason Samuel Tallyn of Toluca, Illinois, who passed away on March 8, 2026 at the age of 24. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandfather Samuel Wadas; and his uncle Walter "Waddy" Wadas. He is survived by: his parents, Bruce J. Tallyn and Lisa Wadas Tallyn; his brother Derek Tallyn (Josie); his nieces, Stellan and Luxtyn Tallyn; his grandparents, Bruce, Joan Tallyn and Helen Wadas; his uncle Chris Tallyn (Tami); and his cousins, Mackenzie, Jacob Tallyn and Jaden Wadas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Catholic Church (209 Jefferson St, Benson, IL 61516). He was a member of the 2020 Championship Roanoke-Benson Basketball team that was cut short due to Covid.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family would appreciate memorials to be given to the family to help cover expenses.
