November 30, 1971 March 6, 2026

Farmington, MO

Jason Mitchel Devine, 54, of Farmington, Missouri, passed away at his home on March 6, 2026. Born on November 30, 1971, in Johnston City, Illinois, to William Lee and Jeannette (Dodd) Devine, he spent his early years there before moving to St. Louis, Nashville, Leavenworth, and finally settling in Farmington to be close to his son Christian and his family.

Jason graduated from Johnston City High School in 1990 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Specialist. He later worked in carpentry, mechanics, and mining. A man of deep Christian faith, he faithfully followed the sermons of his favorite pastor in Tennessee and remained passionately informed about national politics and his love for his country. Above all, family was the center of his world. He cherished living near his son’s family and sharing special moments with his grandchildren. Jason found great joy in the outdoors, whether fishing—where his skill allowed him to catch fish wherever he went—walking, biking, collecting rocks, or caring for the neighborhood squirrels and birds.

He is survived by his sons, Christian (Victoria) Devine of Farmington, Missouri, and Dominic Gregory of Anna, Illinois; his daughter, Raea Dawn; three grandchildren, Adaline Rangel, Arielle Devine, and Laiken Devine; his sister, Kim (Keith) Ferrari of Franklin, Tennessee; his sister-in-law, Michelle Devine of Johnston City, Illinois; nephews Derek Devine of Leslie, Missouri, and Domenic (Makayla) Ferrari of Tampa, Florida; nieces Jaimi (Jonathan) Franklin of Jamestown, Kentucky, Christianna Ferrari of Los Angeles, California, and Cherestina Ferrari of Nashville, Tennessee; along with many cousins and friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his parents, his brother William David Devine, and his niece Jenee Amelia Devine.
