Jason Masse

December 5, 1997 March 11, 2026

Ann Arbor, MI

Jason Nathaniel Masse, lovingly known as “Jasee,” passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 28 at his home in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Born on December 5, 1997, also in Ann Arbor, Jason brought boundless energy and joy to everyone he met. With his contagious smile, striking hazel eyes, and those unforgettable eyelashes, he had a rare gift for turning strangers into instant friends. Often compared to the Energizer Bunny, he thrived on little sleep and greeted each day with unbridled enthusiasm, though his impatience and need for attention kept those around him on their toes.

Jason’s passions were vivid and deeply felt. He found pure delight in Barney the Dinosaur and The Wiggles, and music of all kinds soothed and uplifted him. He spent hours happily working with a very specific type of cotton string—adding and removing knots—while anything else was quickly discarded. Few things brought him greater happiness than car and bike rides with the wind on his face, soaring on the swing set, or attending school at High Point, where he cherished his teachers. Above all, he loved his family with his whole heart and soul.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Jeff and Michelle Masse, who were the center of his world just as he was theirs, along with a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Parenting Jason was a journey of deep love, patience, and creativity. Jeff and Michelle built their days around consistent routines, celebrated every milestone, and learned unique ways to connect with him. They focused on his strengths, encouraged his independence, and created a safe, loving home where he could express every emotion freely. Their unconditional love remained the steady foundation of his life.

Jason will be intensely missed and profoundly loved every day by those fortunate enough to have been part of his bright and joyful world.
