Jason Alexander Gillespie

Jason Alexander Gillespie, 30, of Arlington, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026.

Born on January 25, 1996, in Arlington to James and Veronica Gillespie, Jason attended Martin High School, graduating in 2014. He went on to the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a degree in Sociology in 2019. He cherished his time on the Forty Acres and remained a devoted Longhorn fan throughout his life.

Jason built a successful career in software sales, where his engaging personality and ability to connect with business owners and CEOs earned him consistent recognition on the leaderboard. He worked to live, devoting his free time to the people he loved most—family, friends, and watching UT football.

He is survived by his mother, Veronica Arias Unsell, and her husband, Dr. Randal Unsell, of Ovilla; his brother, Aaron Chase Gillespie, and Aaron’s fiancé, Olivia Bishop, along with his nieces Adalyn Marie Gillespie and Alyse Novah Gillespie, of Kennedale; his uncles, George Arias and wife Sondra of San Francisco, and Jerry Arias and wife Susann of Whitney; and many cousins and friends. Jason will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
