Jas Paul Chopra

Jas Paul Chopra, 76, of New York, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born in Jalandhar, India, he was one of five siblings. He spent his youth training at the National Defense Academy and went on to serve 30 years in the Indian Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

A man of deep integrity and honor, Jas Paul embodied the core values of military service and held a profound reverence for life. In retirement, he became an avid spiritual seeker, living in the grace of his Guru and remembering him with every breath. Through his example and presence, he touched and positively shaped the lives of many within the Sangat.

He is survived by his wife, three children, and seven grandchildren, whom he affectionately called “my oxygen” in his final days.
